Analisis Program Pengendalian Tuberkulosis dengan Strategi DOTS di Puskesmas Manutapen Kupang

Background: Tuberculosis (Tb) is a global challenge for public health problems, including Indonesia. Kupang the city in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) that has highest number of Tb cases with Success Rate (SR) about 85% 2017. However, 2018 SR rate decreased to 81%. Adherence taking medication can have an effect on increasing rate. In NTT, had many withdrawal problems caused by patient not regularly. The control Program NTT based Directly Observed Treatment Short Course (DOTS) Strategy focuses case finding and cure rates. five components DOTS are: 1) Political commitment 2) Case 3) Standard treatment 4) Drug management availability systems 5) Monitoring, recording reporting system. purpose this study analyze implementation strategy Manutapen Public Health Center (Puskesmas)Methods: This was descriptive qualitative method used in-depth interviews. main informants were three officer participants from Puskesmas. Triangulation one participant Disease Control Prevention Officer, PMO participant, participant.Result: encountered obstacles lack political related funding new cases, high workload made officers unable monitor patients, unreported cases.Conclusion: program kupang optimalized.
